Choose how the buttons appear on content:

The plugin generates the prompt as: [Prompt before] + URL + [Prompt after] (+ optional Title)

Default heading: “Summarize And Save This Content On AI“. You can disable the heading entirely, or customize the text, and choose the heading tag (H2 / H3 / H4 / H5) for proper SEO hierarchy.

✅ Button styles + color controls

Choose a modern style: Square, Round, Pills, Outline. Customize colors with a color picker for: Button background, Button text, Button border, Hover background, Hover text.

Defaults are intentionally neutral so the buttons don’t look like an ad or distract from your theme.

✅ Optional “Copy Prompt” button

If enabled, visitors get a button to copy your prompt (including the URL) to clipboard, useful for:

How to use it

Step 1: Install & Activate

1. Download the plugin here.
2. Upload the plugin zip in WordPress: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
3. Activate it.

Step 2: Configure settings

Go to: Settings → AI Share Buttons

Pick:

• where the buttons should appear (top/bottom/both).
• which platforms to show.
• your prompt before/after URL.
• heading options.
• button style and colors.
• and whether to show icons + copy button.

Step 3: Use the block (optional)

In the block editor:

• Add block: AI Share Buttons
• Place it anywhere you want the dock to appear.

If you disable auto-insert, the block + shortcode become the primary way to add buttons.

Performance and cache friendliness

AI Share Buttons is built to avoid the common causes of theme/plugin conflicts:

• No external API calls
• No cron jobs
• No database tables (settings use standard WordPress options)
• Minimal HTML output
• CSS is lightweight
• Frontend JS is only used for the copy-to-clipboard button

The content injection uses the standard the_content filter and outputs a stable block of HTML, no dynamic layout shifting after load, so it should not create CLS issues in normal themes.

If you use heavy page caching: the buttons will still work normally, because the prompt is built from the page URL (which is stable).

Security & privacy

This plugin is designed with a high-security + low-risk approach:

• All settings are sanitized before saving
• Admin actions use capability checks + nonce verification
• No user data is collected or transmitted
• AI tools are opened via normal outbound links
• Links can open in a new tab with safe rel attributes

Important: because this plugin opens third-party AI tools, users should understand that their interactions are governed by those providers’ policies. The plugin itself does not send any data except what the user chooses to submit inside their AI tool.
